Want to cash your rebate check? Here’s a tip.

When you bring in your tax rebate stimulus check, make sure you sign the back of it right in front of us.

Simple enough, right? It’s deceptively easy, but we want to make sure the person on the check is the one signing the check.

Also, if you file your tax return jointly, and the other person isn’t on your American 1 account, make sure they come in to the branch with you.

All of this is for your benefit: the opportunity for identity theft or fraud drops dramatically when you have the right person with the right check.
