Membership referral wins woman $500 in gas

Our first $500 gas card winner of 2008, Heather, almost didn’t win.

That’s because it took a casual glance at a membership referral card, sitting on a desk, to get her to enter to win. Heather was with her dad at our Vandercook Branch, helping him with his vehicle loan, when she spotted the referral card.

She asked if she was eligible for the referral, and Shandi, a Member Service Specialist, said she was. So she filled out the card.

It’s a good thing she did, because the few seconds it took to complete the entry won Heather a $500 gas card.

“I have no luck,” she says. “I didn’t think I had a chance.”

Heather says the $500 worth of gas couldn’t come at a better time, now that she has to make trips to the hospital to visit family.

“We can definitely use it now,” Heather, from Jerome, says.
