Sure, it didn’t rain, but the Middle School at Parkside autorium provided a great venue for this year’s Teen Idol singing competition.
Check out pictures from the event on our Flickr page.
Congratulations to Bridgette Powell (above) of Jackson, this year’s Teen Idol champion. Bridgette returned from a third-place finish at the 2008 Teen Idol event.
Olivia Hale was our runner-up, and Taylor Hawkins took third place.

What can we say? We like to have fun.
American 1 participated in Junior Achievement’s Crazy Bowl fundraiser last Friday. We sponsored nine teams, and raised a bunch of money for JA’s efforts to teach economics and business in local schools.
This year’s theme was “Movie Mania,” and one of teams – dressed as Shrek and and the gang (above) – won “Best Costume.”
American 1 is proud to participate in JA’s Crazy Bowl every year. Check out more photos on our Flickr page.

St. Nick took time out of his busy holiday schedule to visit a few of the American 1 branches before Christmas.
Kids got a free picture with Santa, but as you can see from our Flickr page, a few adults snuck in there, too.
Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

We just upgraded our Flickr account to the “pro” level, meaning we can upload as many photos as create as many sets as we want.
Yahoo! (no pun intended)
Flickr is a great photo sharing and management web site provided by Yahoo! It’s free to join, but the free account limits your photo uploads to 200 and your sets to three. The “pro” level costs about $25 a year.
Feel free to browse through our photo collections, steal some, and add us as a contact. American 1 makes a point to take tons of pictures during events. Call us historical, we just like to look back on all the fun we had.
