Helping Our Community Fight Against Identity Theft

JACKSON, Mich. – On Saturday, April 18th at our Clinton Township Branch and on Saturday, May 5th, at our Home Office in Jackson, American 1 Credit Union held free community Shred Days.  Community members and small businesses were encouraged to bring confidential information to be shredded and recycled, and to help prevent identity theft.  We had several community members take advantage of this opportunity at both locations.

Those who attended were able to enter in to a drawing for a personal shredder provided by American 1 Credit Union.  The winners of the drawings were June M., of Clinton Township and Linda F., of Jackson.  There are two more community shred days scheduled for this year.  Clinton Township Branch Shred day is September, 22nd, and the Jackson Home Office Shred Day is on September 29th both from 12pm to 3pm.
