American 1 CU’s Home Office Held a Coin Drive for Local Family

JACKSON, Mich. – American 1 Credit Union is dedicated to the communities they serve and feel strongly about giving back.  From November 12 through December 12, American 1’s Home Office team held a coin drive to raise money for Consumer’s Energy Gift Certificates for a local Jackson family.

American 1 Credit Union as a whole adopted a local family, and to add to the gifts, Home Office decided to do a coin drive for this families heating bill this winter.

The American 1 Home Office team rose over $300 for this family.

American 1 CU’s Auditing Department donated $100 to Meals on Wheels

JACKSON, Mich. – American 1 Credit Union is dedicated to the communities they serve and feel strongly about giving back.  American 1 Credit Union’s Auditing Department recently donated $100 to the Department of Aging’s Meals on Wheels program.

The $100 will provide 40 hot meals to those who are in need in the Jackson area.

American 1 CU’s North Street Branch Adopted a Jackson Family

JACKSON, Mich. – American 1 Credit Union is dedicated to the communities they serve and feel strongly about giving back.  American 1 Credit Union’s North Street Branch recently adopted a family through the Salvation Army Adopt-A-Family program.

 

The North Street Branch held a bake sale where several staff members brought in baked goods.  The North Street Staff raised almost $150 through the bake sale.  American 1 Credit Union added in $30, bringing the total to almost $180.

 

They then took all of the money raised and went shopping for the local family.  The Salvation Army is collecting all gifts for adopted families on Wednesday, December 12.

 

“I am very proud of the North St staff for their efforts to make this family’s Christmas a better one,” said Angela Tudor, North Street’s Manager in Training at American 1 Credit Union.

American 1’s Clinton Township Branch packs up boxes of food for those in need

CLINTON TWP., Mich. – American 1 Credit Union is dedicated to the communities they serve and feel strongly about giving back.  On Tuesday, November 12, American 1 Credit Union’s Clinton Township Branch staff members spent three hours boxing up food for families in need.

 

The Kiwanis Club of Clinton Township gathers food items, and volunteer groups spend three hours at a time to help box it up.

 

The Clinton Township staff members packed 500 boxes weighing 50 pounds each. “It gave us all a good feeling to know that our efforts helped these 500 families have a nicer holiday season”, said James Safian Vice President of Member Business Development for American 1 Credit Union.
